Job summary

Quality Talent Group is partnering with a North American client to fill an entry level Maintenance Technician role on a swing shift, responsible for maintaining mining and processing equipment in a ready state across sites.

The position emphasizes hands-on mechanical work, adherence to safety practices, and performing routine preventative maintenance with growth opportunities within a large, multisite organization.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in mechanical repair, installation, or industrial environments.
  • Basic mechanical skills including welding (stick/arc), light fabrication, cutting torch, and hand tools.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Preferred: Experience operating skid-steer, man-lift, or similar equipment.
  • Ability to follow PPE requirements, including respirator use (clean-shaven for proper fit).

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer and company guidelines.
  • Inspect, repair, and adjust plant and conveying equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of commonly used replacement parts.
  • Execute emergency repairs to address equipment breakdowns.
  • Report issues and repair needs to the supervisor.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies.
  • Complete required reports and documentation on time.
