Job summary

Hispanic Housing Development Corporation (HHDC) in O'Fallon, IL is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician I to help maintain a clean, safe apartment community. The role includes unit turns, duties across exteriors and common areas, and responding to maintenance requests.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with a Monday–Friday schedule and an on-call rotation. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $19.00 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of full-time maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform essential functions.
• Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unit turns and prepare vacant apartments for new residents.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with residents.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, carpentry and general maintenance tasks.
• Assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs of building systems; report major issues to supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of common areas, exteriors, sidewalks, and grounds.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls during on-call rotations or as assigned.
