CARRIS REELS OF CONNECTICUT INC is seeking an entry-level Manual Machine Operator in Enfield, CT. This full-time role operates on the 1st shift with a salary range of $17.50-$18.50 per hour.

You will set up, maintain, and run machinery to ensure production runs smoothly. Responsibilities include machine setup, setting adjustments, feeding material, inspecting parts with calipers and micrometers, testing operation, and keeping a clean, safe workstation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a machine operator.
• Working knowledge of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Understanding of production procedures.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations with protective gear.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
• Test operation of machines periodically.
• Correct issues that may occur during the shift.
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation.
