Job summary

Carris Reels Group in Enfield, CT is seeking an entry-level Machine Operator/Assembler to set up, maintain, and operate production equipment on the 1st shift. You will ensure the continuous and efficient running of manufacturing processes with attention to detail and safety at all times.

The role requires basic math, strong work ethic, teamwork, and the ability to work overtime as needed. Training is provided to help you learn calibration and measurement procedures in a fast-paced production

Qualifications

• Entry-level machine operator/assembler role setting up and maintaining production equipment.
• Experience with high-speed machinery and measurement tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protective gear is required.
• Ability to read and interpret basic production procedures and measurements.
• Attention to detail and steady hand for precision work.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (speed, feed).
• Feed raw material to semi-automated machines.
• Inspect parts with measuring tools and ensure quality.
• Test operation of machines periodically to ensure reliability.
• Correct issues that arise during the shift.

Job Details Job Location: Enfield, CT 06082 Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: 1st Shift We are looking for an entry level Machine Operators and Assemblers to set up, maintain and operate machinery. You’ll ensure the interminable and efficient running of production. Shift hours are Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2:00 am and overtime on Fridays 3:30pm-8:30pm as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed)
• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
• Test operation of machines periodically
• Correct issues that may occur during the shift.
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation.
• Assemble reels utilizing, different hand tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a machine operator or assembler
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
• Understanding of production procedures
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear)
• Analytical math skills.
