Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking an entry level operator to assist operators, make equipment adjustments, and keep the facility clean and safe. You will follow SOPs and help ensure efficient production at our West Monroe plant.

Responsibilities include using forklift, monitoring equipment, and reading technical drawings. A high school diploma or GED and basic literacy are required, with at least 2 years of relevant industrial experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of heavy industrial machine operator, military, or mechanical experience.
• Ability to read and write is required.
• Computer literacy: MS Office, PLC and DCS experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and other associates.
• Operate Forklift to retrieve supplies and remove paper debris from floor.
• Monitor and make adjustments to the equipment, including visual checks for cross ropes and jams.
• Read and understand technical drawings, and technical service or repair manuals.
• Daily housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Retrieves and distributes supplies from Stores for crew.
