Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator I to perform deburring, buffing, sanding, and tumble operations on firearm components in a finishing environment. The role includes basic engraving, Cerakote, Black Oxide, and MagCell processes, with a focus on quality and output.

Under supervision, you will use hand tools and small machinery, complete tasks promptly, and participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities. This is an on-site, entry-level position offering steady shifts.

Qualifications

• This entry-level position is for individuals with limited to some manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to read and understand work instructions in English.
• Ability to read and follow required paperwork including routers, work instructions, and control plans.
• Basic knowledge of gauging and deburring.
• Ability to perform at least 3 of 5 tasks: assembly, goff, tumble, bead blast, basic surface prep.

Responsibilities

• Use hard gauging to confirm proper characteristics as required.
• Participate in root cause analysis activities.
• Bead and sand blast.
• Operate automated and manual equipment and chemicals under supervision.
• Engrave serial numbers and other engravings on SIG SAUER firearms as requested.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner and maintain a clean, organized area.
