Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is hiring a Machine Operator I at our Rochester, NH facility. This entry-level position involves basic deburring, buffing, sanding, and tumbling to finish mechanical parts, with engraving tasks as needed.

You will work in a team environment and may be required to operate laser engraving equipment. The role emphasizes learning through hands-on tasks across Finishing, Engraving, Cerakote, Black Oxide, and MagCell processes and requires on-site attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to read and understand work instructions in English.
• Entry-level position intended for individuals with limited to some manufacturing experience.
• Ability to perform at least 3 of 5 tasks: Assembly (Mag Cell), Goff, tumble, bead blast, basic surface prep.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to read and follow required paperwork including routers, work instructions, and control plans.
• Basic knowledge of gauging and deburr.
• Must convey ideas clearly in English, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Use gauging to confirm characteristics.
• Participate in root cause analysis activities.
• Bead and sand blast.
• Operate automated and manual equipment with supervision.
• Engrave serial numbers and markings as required using laser equipment.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
• Maintain 5S workplace organization.
