Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Machine Operator I to join our New Hampshire team. You will perform deburring, buffing, sanding, and tumbling on mechanical parts, and engrave serial numbers on firearms using laser equipment.

The role supports both independent work and team collaboration in a manufacturing environment. Typical shifts are 8, 10, or 12 hours with potential overtime. A high school diploma and basic math skills are required, along with the ability to read work instructions

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and related experience or training.
Must be able to read and understand work instructions in English.
Entry-level position suitable for individuals with limited to some manufacturing experience.
Ability to perform at least 3 of 5 tasks: assembly (Mag Cell), goff, tumble, bead blast, basic surface prep operations.
Basic math skills required.
Ability to read and follow paperwork including routers, work instructions, and control plans.
Basic knowledge of gauging and deburring.
Must convey ideas in English, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Use gauging to confirm proper characteristics.
Participate in root cause analysis activities.
Bead and sand blast.
Run tumblers following established procedures.
Under supervision, operate automated and manual equipment and perform coating/painting processes.
Engrave non-serialized products using laser engravers.
Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
Complete tasks promptly and maintain 5S workplace organization.
