Job summary

Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) is hiring an Entry-Level Lube Technician at our Henrico, VA location. You will perform preventive maintenance while delivering top-tier customer service in a team-oriented environment.

No prior automotive experience is required as a comprehensive training program will teach you how to complete tasks and keep guests safe on the road.

Qualifications

• From day one, you’ll get hands-on training and support to thrive as a Lube Technician.
• Strong coworkers focus and a friendly attitude help you fit into a customer-facing role.
• You should be able to read training materials and safety procedures.
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking is required.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform preventive maintenance checks.
• Check and refill fluids, rotate tires, and inspect/replate batteries.
• Inspect and replace lights and wipers; perform an 18-point maintenance check.

Your road to VIOC doesn’t require previous automotive experience. Through our award-winning training program, we’ll teach you how to:

• Change oil
• Check and refill fluids

• Test and replace batteries
• Inspect and replace lights and wipers
• Perform an 18-point maintenance check
• And other preventive maintenance services

QUALIFICATIONS: What you’ll need to keep moving forward

We seek team members with:

• Schedule flexibility (Weekend availability is likely, but we ensure you don’t work late nights or holidays)
• An eagerness to learn, a friendly attitude, and a desire to be part of a customer-focused team
• This role requires the ability to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking
• We expect you can:
  • Stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Crouch, bend, twist, and work with your hands above your head
  • Be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment
