Job summary

Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) Kansas City location is hiring an Entry-Level Lube Technician. You will be trained to perform oil changes, fluid top-offs, tire rotations, battery checks, and light inspections while delivering top-tier customer service.

No previous automotive experience is required thanks to our award-winning training program. Join a collaborative team environment with growth potential into management within 18–24 months.

Qualifications

• From day one, you’ll get hands-on training and support to thrive in a Lube Technician role.
• Schedule flexibility with weekend availability typical, but no late nights or holidays.
• Ability to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and instructions.
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, check and refill fluids, rotate tires, test and replace batteries, inspect and replace lights and wipers.
• Conduct an 18-point maintenance check and other preventive maintenance services.

Your road to VIOC doesn’t require previous automotive experience. Through our award-winning training program, we’ll teach you how to:

• Schedule flexibility (Weekend availability is likely, but we ensure you don’t work late nights or holidays)
• An eagerness to learn, a friendly attitude, and a desire to be part of a customer-focused team
• This role requires the ability to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking

We expect you can:

• Stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Crouch, bend, twist, and work with your hands above your head
• Be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment
