Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking an entry-level Physical Security Installer I to assist with installing and implementing video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, paging, and related low-voltage systems. You will work under supervision with the Foreman and Project Manager to develop field installation skills.

Responsibilities include cable pulling, device installation, reading drawings, safety compliance, and documenting work.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Driver’s License.
Basic computer skills (MS Office).
Able to use basic hand and power tools.
Team player with professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

Install and support video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, and related low-voltage systems under supervision.
Perform cable pulling, terminations, mounting, device installation, and equipment setup.
Read and follow project drawings, scopes, and installation instructions.
Maintain compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and codes.
Troubleshoot basic installation issues and escalate complex issues as needed.
Coordinate with Foreman and Project Manager to support project execution.
Maintain accurate documentation of time, materials, and completed work.
Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams.
Travel to customer sites as required (local, regional, and occasional overnight).
Meet annual billable hour goals as defined by HBS.
