Job summary

Heartland Technology Group is seeking an entry-level Physical Security Installer I to assist with installing video surveillance, access control, and other low-voltage systems. You will work under supervision, build technical proficiency, and contribute to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

You will travel to customer sites as needed and collaborate with Foreman, Project Manager, and team members to ensure successful project execution and documentation of work performed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Able to use basic hand tools and power tools.
• Strong prioritization and teamwork.
• Professional attitude and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Install and support video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, and related low-voltage systems under supervision.
• Perform cable pulling, terminations, mounting, device installation, and equipment setup.
• Read and follow project drawings, scopes of work, and installation instructions.
• Maintain compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and codes.
• Troubleshoot basic installation issues and escalate complex problems.
• Coordinate with Foreman and Project Manager to support project execution.
• Document time, materials, and completed work accurately.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams.
• Travel to customer sites as required (local, regional, occasional overnight).
• Meet annual billable hour goals defined by HBS.
