Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking entry-level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities and promote safety. Training is provided on the job, with on-site support and hands-on skill development for independent work in outdoor settings.

You will learn to read maps, interpret blueprints, and use locating equipment while ensuring safe, accurate outcomes and clear communication with team members and homeowners.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs with tool aids.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best method & sequence for locating.
• Use locate equipment & technology to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
