Job summary

Armstrong Utilities in Butler, PA is hiring a Construction Lineman 1 for 4x10 hour night shifts with overnight travel. This entry level role supports the construction of aerial and buried coax, copper, and fiber optic cables, following company practices and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to work nights and travel overnight.
• Good physical stamina and safety awareness.
• Ability to read and interpret network designs.
• Willingness to learn and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Climb poles and ladders and operate climbing gear.
• Work aloft using gaffs, ladders and mechanical lifts.
• Operate bucket trucks, forklifts, backhoes and trenchers.
• Read network design prints and maintain logs.
• Follow all safety policies and maintain equipment.
