Job summary

Armstrong Group in Butler, PA is seeking an entry-level Construction Lineman 1 to join our field crew building and maintaining aerial and buried coax, copper, and fiber optic cables in accordance with company standards. This role will involve overnight travel and requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic; eager to learn.
• DOT medical card (can be obtained after offer).
• Overnight travel required.
• Physical ability to climb, lift and carry 75 lbs.
• Able to work after hours for storm duty.
• Able to work under time pressure and take direction well.

Responsibilities

• Climb poles and ladders safely using gaffs, ladders, and lifts.
• Operate bucket trucks, forklifts, backhoes, trenchers, and other equipment.
• Read network design prints and maintain daily logs and inventory.
• Follow Armstrong safety policies and maintain equipment to standards.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and travel as needed.
• Perform other assigned tasks as required by crew.
