Job summary

City of San Ramon is seeking energetic Lifeguard I candidates to help create a safe, welcoming aquatic environment for the community. You’ll supervise pool activities, respond to emergencies, assist patrons, and may teach swim lessons and lead recreation programs.

Under supervision, Lifeguards work to ensure safety, provide first aid, and support the Swim Lesson program while maintaining a professional appearance and courteous conduct.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old with required background checks.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or equivalent.
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED for Lifeguards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool activities and ensure patron safety.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid.
• Greet patrons and answer questions.
• Assist with Swim Lesson program.
• Maintain records and attend trainings.
