Job summary

Lawn Matters in Ohio is seeking an entry-level Lawn Care Technician I to learn and perform basic lawn care services under supervision. You will apply fertilizers, herbicides, and seasonal turf treatments on residential and commercial properties while gaining hands-on experience in turf health and safety protocols.

This role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and reliability as you build skills for advancement under a Crew Leader or Service Manager, with on-the-job training and opportunities

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: No prior lawn care experience required; training provided.
• Licensing/Certification: Valid state driver's license required

Responsibilities

• Lawn Care Application: Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and other lawn care products safely and precisely, following all label instructions and safety protocols.
• Lawn Diagnosis & Customer Solutions: Assist in diagnosing and resolving basic lawn problems, including pest, weed, and nutrient issues.
• Customer Engagement & Sales: Pursue new customer contracts and encourage re-enrollment of existing customers.
• Recordkeeping & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of all product applications and service activities for billing and compliance purposes.
• Equipment & Site Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, vehicles, and equipment to ensure safe operations.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
