Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Austin, Texas, is seeking an entry-level Test Engineer to join the Launch and Test team. You will work on Component Structures, Engines, and Test Stands, collaborating with engineers across Alpha, A330MLV, Blue Ghost, and Elytra programs.

This role emphasizes hands-on testing, data analysis, and developing test procedures and automation. Travel to support launch operations may be required, with involvement at Briggs test site.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related engineering discipline required.
• Experience with 3D and 2D CAD software strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel to support launch operations; travel up to 25% (Max 25).
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Integrate instruments and test rocket/spacecraft components on test stands.
• Operate daily test stand operations and execute test plans.
• Develop test procedures and analyze data to validate systems.
• Collaborate with vehicle engineers to release formal Test Plans.
• Develop automated scripts to support test operations and improvements.
