Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking planning graduates to join our Everett, Washington office in 2026. This is not a remote position, and you will engage in pre-construction planning, permitting, and analysis across multiple projects.

You will work with project managers, across disciplines, to shape the built environment while gaining exposure to diverse public and private sector projects. Eligibility requires a Planning Degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in City/Regional Planning, Urban Planning, or related

  • Planning degree (Bachelor's or Master's) from an accredited program by Summer 2027.
  • Majors include City and Regional Planning, Urban Planning, or other related majors.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to pre-construction planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
  • Support project managers and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations as well as Kimley-Horn's practices.
  • Evaluate development proposals for zoning regulation compliance.
  • Prepare planning and land use studies.
  • Coordinate with municipal and state agencies.
  • Gain exposure to diverse project experiences for public and private sector clients.
  • Contribute to community engagement meetings, events, and materials.
