Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Spokane, WA is seeking Transportation/Traffic Planning graduates to join our team in 2026. This is not a remote position and offers exposure to pre-construction planning, permitting, and analysis across multiple projects while collaborating with clients and colleagues.

Candidates should have an accredited Engineering or Planning degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027 in City/Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, or related majors.

  • Engineering or Planning degree from an accredited program by Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to pre-construction planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce clients’ visions for the future built environment.
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.
  • Evaluate development proposals to identify compliance with zoning regulations.
  • Prepare planning and land use studies.
  • Coordinate with municipal and state agencies.
  • Gain exposure to diverse project experiences as services are provided to both public and private sectors.
