Job summary

AFC Materials Group, headquartered in Lake in the Hills, IL, is seeking a Laminated Parts Machine Operator. Earn $16.75/hr with a $2.50 shift differential where applicable, with day or night shifts and on-the-job training.

All new hires train on day shift for the first 2 weeks before transitioning to their assigned schedule. The role offers hands-on training, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, and PTO plus holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate and learn machinery safely.
• Must be able to follow production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform changeovers on machinery to produce laminated parts.
• Coordinate with fabricators and supervisors to keep machines running.
• Monitor material levels and communicate needs to the team.
• Follow production schedules and work orders with minimal supervision.
• Conduct quality checks and help resolve product issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and tools.
• Track inventory and participate in cycle counts.
• Support process improvements and rotate between stations as needed.
