AFC Materials Group is hiring an entry-level Machine Operator in Lake in the Hills, IL. You will operate presses to produce laminated parts and help maintain smooth shift production with supervision as needed.

Starting pay is $16.75/hr with a $2.50 shift differential when applicable. Day and night shifts are available, with two weeks of initial day-shift training before moving to the assigned schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Willingness to learn and operate manufacturing equipment.
• Careful, accurate measurement and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate presses to produce laminated parts.
• Perform machine changeovers and monitor production schedules.
• Coordinate with fabricators and supervisors to keep lines running smoothly.
• Monitor material levels and communicate needs to teams.
• Conduct quality checks and resolve product issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and tools.
• Track inventory and participate in cycle counts as needed.
• Suggest process improvements and rotate between stations.

Location: Lake in the Hills, IL

• Day Shift (4am-2:30pm Monday-Thursday)
• Night Shift (2pm-12:30am Monday-Thursday)

Training Requirement:

All new hires are required to train on day shift for the first 2 weeks of employment before transitioning to their assigned schedule.

Overview

As a Laminated Parts Machine Operator, you will operate presses and ensure they run continuously throughout the shift.

• Operate and perform changeovers on machinery to produce laminated parts
• Keep machines running smoothly by coordinating with fabricators and supervisors
• Monitor material levels and communicate needs to the appropriate team members
• Follow production schedules and work orders with minimal supervision
• Conduct quality checks and assist in resolving product issues
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and tools
• Track inventory and participate in cycle counts as needed
• Recommend and support process improvements
• Rotate between workstations based on production needs
