AFC Materials Group is hiring a Coating Machine Operator at our Lake in the Hills, IL facility. This hands-on role involves learning two coating processes and operating coating equipment with a team-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of machine operator experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (team-lift up to 100 lbs).
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate vertical PTFE coating towers or horizontal coating equipment under supervision.
• Assist with equipment setup, operation, and shutdown per procedures.
• Prepare and qualify coating mixes per guidelines.
• Run designated vertical towers or support horizontal operations.
• Monitor product quality and adjust processes as needed.
• Complete run sheets and stock cards, documenting parameters and quality issues.
• Perform basic ERP inventory and job transactions in Syteline.
