Job summary

AFC Materials Group in Lake in the Hills, IL is hiring a hands-on Machine Operator for 12-hour day and night shifts. You’ll work on coating equipment, assist with setup, monitor quality, and document run parameters in our ERP system. Training is provided and growth opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a machine operator.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (team-lift up to 100 lbs).
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate vertical PTFE coating towers or horizontal coating equipment under supervision.
• Assist with equipment setup, operation, and shutdown following procedures.
• Prepare and qualify coating mixes per guidelines.
• Run designated vertical towers or support horizontal front-end/back-end operations.
• Monitor product quality and make process adjustments as needed.
• Complete run sheets and stock cards documenting parameters and quality issues.
• Perform basic ERP inventory and job transactions.
