The position involves routine sample prep, operating basic lab instruments, and maintaining safety and organization. Requires a high school diploma and 0–1 year of experience; associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in science-related field preferred.
• 0–1 year of laboratory or technical experience (internship or coursework acceptable).
• Basic understanding of laboratory safety, chemical handling, and measurement techniques.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
• Familiarity with MS Office applications and basic data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine sample preparation tasks (e.g., filtering, drying, weighing) under close supervision.
• Operate basic laboratory instruments (e.g., balances, pH meters, ovens) per SOPs.
• Assist in maintaining laboratory cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Manage proper handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory materials and waste.
• Record observations and data accurately in logs or data sheets.
• Support other laboratory staff with daily operational duties.
• Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or protocol deviations to supervisors.
