Job summary

Microbac Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform entry-level lab duties in a accredited commercial lab. You will prepare samples, set up instruments, maintain glassware, and help generate timely data for customers.

The role requires basic math, SOP comprehension, and strong attention to detail, with opportunities to contribute to safety and quality programs while growing in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work with small vials, test tubes and delicate laboratory equipment.
• Ability to read and apply established protocols and SOPs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to support laboratory staff and ensure timely data reporting.
• Gather materials to prepare and analyze test samples.
• Handle sample receipt, login, storage, and disposal.
• Prepare necessary standards, solutions, media, etc., for analyses.
• Set up and operate basic lab equipment and instrumentation.
• Perform routine maintenance including glassware cleaning and sterilization.
• Accurately record observations and data.
• Maintain up-to-date logs, notebooks and equipment records.
• Enter data into the computerized LIMS and review data.
• Support safety and quality programs and perform other duties as assigned.
