Job summary

SOCOTEC US is seeking an Entry Level Laboratory Technician for the Construction Materials Testing Lab. You will perform tests on soils, concrete, asphalt and related materials following ASTM standards and report results accurately.

Ideal candidates will have basic technical knowledge, strong math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Training is provided, with the expectation to obtain ACI Lab Concrete Testing Certifications within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have basic technical knowledge or understanding and a willingness to learn technical skills. Training will be provided.
• Candidate will be expected to obtain ACI Lab Concrete Testing Certifications within 6 months of hiring.
• Must have strong mathematical skills and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests on soils, concrete, asphalt, masonry and other construction materials per ASTM/standards.
• Report test results in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Perform routine laboratory maintenance and verifications of equipment.
• Assist in construction materials testing as needed.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
