Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking an Entry Level Laboratory Technician in Farmingdale, NY to perform laboratory tests on concrete, soils, asphalt, and other construction materials in accordance with testing standards. You will report results and maintain lab equipment under supervision.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, strong math skills, and excellent communication. Training is provided, and the company supports certification through the ACI program within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn technical skills; training will be provided.
• Candidate will obtain ACI Lab Concrete Testing Certifications within 6 months of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests on soils, concrete, and other construction materials according to standards.
• Report results in accordance with ASTM or other standards.
• Perform laboratory maintenance and verify equipment.
• Assist in construction materials testing as needed.
• Support supervisor/manager with additional duties.
