Job summary

Alliance Technical Group seeks a Laboratory Analyst I to support routine lab operations under supervision. You will prepare reagents, run basic analyses, maintain instruments, and document results per SOPs.

This entry-level role offers hands-on training, opportunities to learn laboratory techniques, and a pathway to advance within the department; based in Rapid City, SD, with a pay rate of $18–$22/hour DOE and benefits including health insurance, 401(k) match, PTO, and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related science field.
• 0-2 years of laboratory experience.
• Ability to follow SOPs and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic standards and reagents following SOPs with minimal oversight.
• Set up and load instruments for routine analyses with guidance.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures under supervision.
• Conduct investigation tests with oversight as part of training and development.
• Complete laboratory documentation accurately and consistently.
• Track sample progress and ensure timely processing and reporting.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments with guidance.
• Support senior analysts and supervisors in daily lab operations.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Participate in training programs to build technical and quality system knowledge.
