Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program.
• Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
• Must pass background investigation and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise youths in a 24-hour detention facility to ensure health, safety and welfare.
• Provide individual and group counseling to youths.
• Make sound judgments in crisis situations and document actions.
• Discipline youths per facility rules and forward information to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with transporting youths to appointments and other duties as needed.
• Conduct inspections, room checks and drills and coordinate daily programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
