Job summary

State of Delaware is seeking an entry level Judicial Case Manager I to support caseload management, learn legal processes, and perform full range of case management activities in a government setting.

You will review court documents, track case events, assist judges and attorneys, and help coordinate case flow while adhering to rules and procedures. This position is on-site with standard state benefits.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in managing cases as they move through the legal process.
• Six months experience in applying laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
• Six months experience in using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data.
• Knowledge of narrative report writing.

Responsibilities

• Reviews legal/court documents for completeness and timing.
• Prepares and issues court and legal documents.
• Researches case files to ensure data accuracy.
• Enters information into manual or automated systems.
• Maintains files and records with required documents.
• Provides information on procedures and event status.
• Attends hearings to provide files and administers oaths.
• Assesses case filings for track placement.
• Interprets court rules and procedural requirements.
• Monitors case activity and expedites delays.
