You will read basic machine schematics and perform preventative maintenance while helping with various projects. The role emphasizes organization, teamwork, and adherence to lock-out/tag-out procedures, with lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment is desirable
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license
  • Must have the ability to use hydraulic equipment, pneumatic equipment, presses, cordless drills, clamps, and other misc small tools
  • Willing to learn how to properly use measuring equipment to diagnose wear or damage in machine parts

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine tasks and duties including scheduled preventative maintenance as assigned by a supervisor.
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery using a variety of tools.
  • Follow OSHA requirements in daily activities.
  • Practice safety awareness in all actions, including machine operation and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Share information with the supervisor and other team members in an understandable manner.
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Organize parts and materials in the proper locations.
  • Lift, move, push, pull, carry and manipulate materials up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs unaccompanied.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure overall success.
