Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and install equipment, machinery, and facilities under direct supervision. This role emphasizes preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and adherence to safety protocols within a manufacturing environment.

Candidates should be able to read basic schematics, lift up to 50 lbs, and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth operation.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED is required.
• 1–2 years experience in the maintenance/repair of industrial equipment preferred.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to safely use hydraulic/pneumatic equipment, presses, cordless drills, clamps, and small tools.
• Ability to read basic machine schematics.
• Willing to learn and stay organized; strong troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with related hand tools and troubleshooting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance as directed.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Follow OSHA requirements and safety procedures.
• Organize parts and materials; maintain records.
• Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Collaborate with other departments as needed.
• Support supervision and contribute to special projects.
