Qualifications

• Basic Unix/Linux command-line familiarity required.
• Understanding of data center/server environments beneficial.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field (or equivalent cert/experience).
• Willingness to learn IBM technologies and follow troubleshooting steps.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hardware setup of IBM Power Servers and HMC.
• Learn to deploy and manage VIOS and PowerVM environments.
• Perform routine AIX OS installs, migrations, and TL/SP updates.
• Monitor performance, logs and hardware alerts for uptime.
• Maintain records of configurations and inventory.
• Collaborate with senior admins to resolve issues and improve infra.
• Design and deploy IBM Power with AIX/Linux.
