Job summary

IES Residential, Inc. is seeking an entry-level HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our field team. You will assist with preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic troubleshooting on residential and commercial systems, learning hands-on alongside senior technicians.

This role offers paid on-the-job training, a supportive team environment, and opportunities for certification and career growth. Must have a high school diploma or GED and valid driver's license; EPA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HVAC school, technical certification, or related training preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable attendance and professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Background screening and drug screening may apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Inspect systems for proper operation and identify issues.
• Assist senior technicians with repairs and installations as needed.
• Document service performed and communicate findings clearly.
• Provide professional customer service during all interactions.
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle (if assigned).
• Complete required training and certification programs.
