Job summary

Peak Mechanical in Sanger, TX is seeking an HVAC/Construction Helper to assist technicians on residential and commercial projects across the DFW area. No prior experience required; you’ll learn ductwork, piping, insulation, and refrigeration components while supporting safety and efficiency on every job site.

You will transport tools and materials, maintain site cleanliness, follow foremen guidance, and help with system startups and basic troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• No prior HVAC experience required.
• EPA certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Exposure to various weather conditions and physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC and refrigeration technicians with installation and service work.
• Help install ductwork, piping, insulation, and refrigeration components.
• Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites and work areas.
• Follow instructions from foremen and lead technicians.
• Support construction tasks such as drilling, cutting, and mounting equipment.
• Hold or secure materials and equipment during installation.
• Assist with system startup and basic troubleshooting.
• Load and unload trucks with tools and materials.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Perform general labor duties on commercial and residential sites.
• Take advantage of on-the-job training and grow your HVAC career.
