Job summary

Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning & Electrical is seeking HVAC Install Helpers in the Houston area to assist experienced installers and perform basic HVAC tasks. The role includes on-the-job training, safety adherence, and opportunities to gain additional licenses/certifications.

You will work in a dynamic team, support installation projects, and contribute to delivering excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and organized work site.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years working in the Residential HVAC Installation Field.
• Knowledge of HVAC codes and ability to make on-the-job decisions.
• Must have EPA license and TDLR registration.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to crawl into tight spaces; climb ladders and work in attics/crawl spaces/roofs.

Responsibilities

• Assist installation of all brands and types of HVAC units.
• Diagnose issues, replace parts and perform preventative maintenance.
• Transfer tools, parts, equipment to and from work stations.
• Perform start-up of equipment and ensure proper operation.
• Connect wiring, piping, and tubing using hand or power tools.
• Communicate with management, dispatch, and customers to ensure success.
• Keep invoices and time sheets accurate.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and inventory of truck.
