Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking an HVAC/MEP Technician I to provide mechanical and electrical installation, maintenance, and replacement services for HVAC and refrigeration components to ensure safe, reliable operation. You will troubleshoot issues, repair or replace equipment, and coordinate with contractors and departments on repairs and construction projects.

This is a security-sensitive position. Employment is contingent upon a criminal background check and reference checks.

Qualifications

• 1 year advanced study beyond high school or equivalent.
• 3 years related experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License and insurable to drive College service vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/refrigeration systems to ensure safe operation.
• Install, maintain, and replace HVAC components and electrical controls.
• Communicate with contractors and departments on repairs and construction projects.
• Perform basic electrical and plumbing repairs as needed.
• Respond to work orders and document maintenance on PM orders.
• Assist HVAC helpers as required.
