Job summary

Texas First Rentals (TFR) Brownsville Energy Solutions is seeking an entry-level Shop Service Technician 1 to perform basic inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment, following established procedures. You will work as part of a team to meet customer needs and departmental goals.

Entry-level position with typically less than two years of experience. You will learn to plan repairs, order parts, document work, and comply with safety policies while under supervision.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; typically less than two years of experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Assists in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining equipment and components.
• Learns how to plan equipment and component repairs.
• Learns how to complete parts orders and identify parts for return.
• Maintains equipment and work areas in good, clean condition.
• Completes documents associated with repairs in a timely manner.
• Works safely and adheres to safety policies and company standards.
• Overtime as required by workload and customer needs.
