Job summary

Texas First Rentals (TFR) in Lewisville, TX, seeks an entry-level mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment in a fast-paced shop environment.

Two+ years of related experience or knowledge preferred; performs basic disassembly/assembly, uses hand and pneumatic tools, and adheres to safety policies. Onsite role with opportunities for training through ProTech paths and advancement within Holt family of companies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic machines and tools, their design, use, repair and maintenance.
• Proficiency with computer software, hardware, and machine electronic systems.
• Ability to read, write and understand information.
• Strong attention to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses basic equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Disassembles and assembles basic machine components per manufacturer specifications using hand/pneumatic tools.
• Performs rebuilding, repairing, reconditioning, and maintenance of equipment.
• Assists in estimating, planning, and cost control for repair jobs.
• Completes parts orders and identifies parts for return.
• Maintains equipment and work areas in clean, orderly condition.
• Adheres to safety policies and company standards; works overtime as needed.
• Participates in ongoing training (e.g., ProTech Technician Training Paths).
• Requires regular and punctual attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
