Job summary

Seaboard Marine is seeking a heavy equipment operator in Houston to move containers and cargo in a fast-paced terminal environment. You will operate yard trucks, perform pre-shift inspections, and coordinate with foreman to ensure safe, on-time loading and unloading.

The role requires the ability to work flexible hours, lift and maneuver heavy loads, and maintain logs as needed. A valid CDL-related experience and TWIC credential are required within 90 days of start.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate heavy equipment (yard truck, mule jockey, tractor trailer).
• Must read, write and speak basic English.
• Must obtain TWIC credential within 90 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Operate yard truck to transport containers and cargo within set timeframes.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and report deficiencies.
• Couple and uncouple trailers; connect air and electrical lines.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety guidelines.
• Record loads and report daily shift activity as required.
