Job summary

The United States Army Reserve is seeking a Horizontal Construction Engineer (12N) to operate bulldozers, graders and other heavy equipment to build and maintain roads, airfields, and facilities. You will work as part of a team delivering critical projects in support of national security.

Training includes Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training, with education benefits and pathways to civilian construction careers through PaYS and related programs.

Qualifications

• ASVAB is required to determine qualification for Army jobs.
• 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and nine weeks of Advanced Individual Training are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate bulldozers, roadgraders and other heavy equipment to level earth.
• Drive tractor-trailer to transport heavy construction equipment.
• Clear, grub, strip, excavate, backfill, stockpile and push scraper with tractor crawler.
