Job summary

Tate Inc. in Pocahontas, AR is hiring an entry-level Assembler to operate and maintain department machinery and assemble steel units. You will gain hands-on experience across equipment and processes in a fast-paced Heavy Assembly area.

We seek dependable teammates who can lift up to 50 lbs, read and follow written instructions, and work well in a diverse team. This full-time, non-exempt role offers growth and a strong benefits program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Team environment experience and ability to interface with diverse workforce.
• Lift up to 50 lbs repetitively for an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, tape measure, dial indicator and feeler gauges.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop and crouch for an 8-hour shift.
• Handle machinery and parts near moving parts safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain department equipment and machinery.
• Assemble containment doors, partitions and related products per specs.
• Identify faulty materials and report to supervisor.
• Complete production reporting and quality paperwork accurately.
• Use proper equipment and hand-jacks for moving materials.
• Perform other duties as directed by team lead or supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow safety procedures.
• Adhere to SOPs, MOPs, JSAs and safety manuals.
• Report quality issues, unsafe acts and conditions to the right personnel.
