Job summary

City Of Cocoa Beach is seeking a full-time Grounds Maintenance worker to support the Public Works department in Cocoa Beach, FL 32931. The role starts at $18.07 per hour and comes with strong benefits, including PTO, holidays, pension, and city-paid medical, dental and life insurance.

Under direct supervision, you will assist in the maintenance and construction of city grounds and equipment, including mowing, edging, spraying, fence work, and assisting with events.

Qualifications

• Minimum Training and Experience: Graduation from high school, and 1 to 2 years experience in grounds maintenance or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds: mowing, trimming, edging, spraying herbicides and pesticides, and seed/fertilizer application.
• Prepares and maintains grounds and facilities; general landscaping on City property.
• Maintains and repairs fences; replaces damaged sections; installs gates.
• Assists in maintenance and construction of equipment and facilities.
• Assists supervisor with maintenance and repair of equipment.
