Job summary

The City of Fulton is seeking an entry-level Grounds Maintenance Worker to maintain city properties and landscapes. You will work Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm, performing mowing, trimming and general upkeep with safety as a priority.

Experience is not required, but the role benefits from reliability, basic labor skills, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. City benefits include insurance and paid time off, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• This is an entry-level position with on-site outdoor work.
• Must pass pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Some assignments may require a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
• Must follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Mow grass and maintain lawns and landscaped areas at City properties.
• Operate mowing equipment, weed-eaters and edging tools as needed.
• Perform general grounds maintenance including trimming, debris removal and litter pickup.
• Assist with basic maintenance and repair tasks as assigned.
• Load and unload materials, tools and equipment; report maintenance needs.
