Job summary

City of Fulton is hiring for a full-time Buildings and Grounds Technician. This entry-level role performs routine outdoor maintenance across city properties, including mowing lawns, edging, debris removal, and basic repairs.

Typical schedule Monday–Friday, 6:30am–3:00pm, outdoors in hot weather. Applicants should be ready to operate mowing equipment and hand tools, follow safety procedures, pass background checks, and join a team dedicated to keeping city facilities well maintained and welcoming

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with potential for growth.
• Prior grounds maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to perform outdoor work in heat and varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Mow grass and maintain lawns and landscaped areas.
• Operate weed-eaters and edging equipment.
• Remove debris and litter from city properties.
• Assist with basic maintenance and repair tasks.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain equipment and report needed repairs.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear protective gear.
