Job summary

STS Metals Inc. is seeking an entry-level Production Associate- Grinder to support grinding operations for forged bars and blocks on the Forge Team. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork, with early opportunities to cross-train and grow into operator or skilled trade roles.

You will stage material, remove scrap, and perform basic finishing tasks while following safety procedures. Expect physical, repetitive work in a active manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Basic math, reading, and language skills required.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate with managers and coworkers.
• Forklift operations and safety certification required.
• Overtime ability is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow lead and move material on press to forge.
• Read serial numbers and re-mark parts in forging environment.
• Drive forklift to move and transport material.
• Read calipers to determine forged size of material.
• Learn to move material manually with tongs.
• Train to operate grinders and input forging stock material.
• Perform other related duties as requested.
