Job summary

United Grain Corporation in Hettinger, ND is seeking a Grain Elevator Technician I to join our entry-level team. Under close supervision, you will handle grain receiving, storage, drying, blending and loading, while maintaining a safe work environment.

You will operate trucks, monitor equipment, and support maintenance; we value safety, reliability, and teamwork as we serve producers and customers across the region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; exceptions for minors 16+ in seasonal/temporary positions.
• A valid driver’s license may be required to drive company vehicles.
• Experience with Word and Excel preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Must be able to work extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operates grain receiving, storage handling, drying, blending, and loading.
• Monitors stored grain conditions and maintains facilities and equipment.
• Drives trucks and other motorized equipment.
• Maintains a safe work environment and promotes teamwork and integrity.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
• Performs routine maintenance and basic repairs.
