Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ, is hiring an entry-level Systems Engineer – Guidance, Navigation, and Control. You will help evaluate, design, and integrate embedded software algorithms to support missile programs, working in a collaborative IPT with tactical software and six-degree-of-freedom simulations.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field by start date, experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and Linux, and familiarity with GNC, modeling & simulation, Kalman filters, and sensors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, physics, mathematics, or related STEM field by start date.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with GNC systems, modeling & simulation, control systems, dynamics, Kalman filter design, signal processing, navigation sensors, and related algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, design, implement, and integrate embedded software algorithms for GNC systems.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop six degree-of-freedom simulations and conduct flight/testing evaluations.
• Contribute to CFD/wind tunnel understanding and integration with system performance requirements.
