Job summary

Harnish Group Inc. is seeking an entry-level Helper Technician at our Tukwila, WA site. The role supports master technicians and requires basic heavy machinery knowledge to inspect equipment.

You will assist with removing, repairing, assembling and installing CAT generators and gain experience troubleshooting engines, powertrains, and hydraulic systems while using CAT diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent OR a graduate of a 2-4 year vocational technical school training institution or equivalent experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is vital.
• This role requires the ability to stand up to eight hours per day and includes twisting, bending, squatting, sitting stooping and kneeling.
• Experience working at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with removing, repairing, assembling and installing Caterpillar generators.
• Assist technicians in troubleshooting engines, powertrains, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Be exposed to CAT diagnostic equipment, CAT repair tooling, rigging and blocking equipment.
• Follow instructions and be eager to learn in this role.
